Our Projects.
I believe students learn best by doing. Projects are a great way for students to apply what has been taught in class. Therefore, we will have many projects assigned this year. Government Brochure Project
Due Friday, November 7th
Student Objective: Students will create a Brochure demonstrating their understanding of government systems in Southwest Asia.
Requirements: The Brochure will have 5 mandatory pages and an extra credit page.
Page 1 – Title of Brochure with introductory picture
Page 2 – Government Systems: Students will identify how power is distributed between central and regional governments and define those forms of government. Then students will identify the types of governments and define each.
Page 3, 4, 5 – Government System of Saudi Arabia/Israel/Iran: Students will identify the type of government found in that country and describe that government system. Then students will provide the name and title of the Head of Government and Chief of State. Students will also include the name and role of the legislature. Students will explain how citizens participate in the political process, and finally students will list at least 3 freedoms citizens have in that country.
Page 6 – Extra Credit: Students will write a paragraph, in complete sentences, explaining which country they would rather live in, based on the government system. Student must use specific information about that country’s government system in their answer.
